Arizona's state dinosaur, the Sonorasaurus (Sonorasaurus thompsoni), is similar to the Brachiosaurus, though a bit smaller.

The Sonorasaurus weighed around 84,000 pounds and ate trees and other vegetation.

It was about 49 feet long and 27 feet tall.

Fossils of the Sonorasaurus were found in Cochise County in 1994.

It became the Arizona State Dinosaur on April 10, 2018.
