Job Description
Reports to: AzLA President
The Web Services Coordinator is responsible for executing the webservice needs of the Arizona Library Association and managing all membership activities and assisting in the management of all AzLA events. The Web Services Coordinator responsibilities encompass the total operation of the Association website, its membership system, events management software, and serve as administrator for AzLA’s Google Workspace for Non-Profits account.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for organizing, designing, and maintaining the AzLA website. This entails familiarizing current association software provider and the expectation of continuous improvement in services/options available to AzLA.

Responsible for keeping current the main webpage, as well as ensuring the efficacy of the other pages.

Monitors and updates website functionality across all major browsers.

Adapts content to a web format.

Protects against hackers from gaining access to Google workspace account, and AzLA website, as well as monitoring emails for spam/phishing attacks.

Regular and thorough backups of the site for restoration in event of total loss.

Establishes and maintains links to other sites and specific resources on other sites, including but not limited to:

American Library Association (ALA)

Arizona State Library and Archives

Mountain Plains Library Association (MPLA)

Public Library Association (PLA)

Association of Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL)

Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL)

Communicates with Group Chairs (Divisions, Committees, Interest Groups) to maintain the site and ensure content is up to date, including general site operation, broken links, etc. Posts new content, updated and revised material, identified or created by divisions, committees, and interest groups.

Regularly adds/updates the following:

Updated officers and committee rosters

Minutes of AzLA Board meetings and associated reports

Current edition and revisions to the AzLA handbook

Analyzes traffic and site usage with Google analytics or other statistics metrics

Google Workspace administrator manages user accounts, sets security policies, and controls access to Google Workspace apps and services. They also manage user groups, including adding and deleting users and customizing settings for each group. Administrators also provide technical support and training to end users.

Creates monthly report of tasks completed for AzLA President approval

Other duties as requested, within scope of job description
Pay information: 12-month contract; $800/month (10hrs/week @ $20/hr). Some months might require additional paid hours.
