Come join the largest and fastest growing community in Yavapai County! As the Town’s new Outreach Librarian you will report directly to the Library Manager to collaborate with Librarians on various programs and events.

If you are eager to make a difference in an organization committed to lifelong learning, with a passion for engaging a growing community, we encourage you to apply!

In this position you will:

  • · Manage library social media accounts and website. Develop and schedule social media campaigns, including creating original content.
  • · Provide equitable delivery of library services to underserved populations. Identify opportunities for public interaction through innovative experiences, collaborate with community organizations, and cultivate community partnerships.
  • · Oversee our Books on Wheels homebound delivery program, including program volunteers. Act as liaison for the Talking Books program.
  • · Assist patrons with library needs. Work public service desks and other duties as assigned.

Need to have/be:

  • · Master’s degree in Library Science, and two years professional experience in a public library.
  • · Experienced in various technologies such as social media platforms, Wix, Canva, SirsiDynix Workflows, Aspen Discovery.
  • · Marketing, public relations, and/or communications experience.
  • · Collaborative by nature, emotionally intelligent with the ability to build and maintain effective work relationships. The ideal candidate will be passionate to serve others, outgoing, and has a good sense of humor.
  • · Ability to work a flexible schedule to support library operational hours seven-days a week.

 

Compensation: The salary range is $50,000 to $70,000 annually DOQ. The Town provides a full range of benefits including no-cost to you health insurance and a generous retirement plan.
