The Scottsdale Public Library’s Metadata Services Department has an unpaid Digital Collection internship available to both University of Arizona School of Information students and Arizona State University School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies graduate students. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in managing digital content and metadata in a public library setting with the focus on the history of the City of Scottsdale. The intern will be working with the Library’s Polaris Digital Database, and will be responsible for preparing digital content in various formats and cataloging that content using library principles of classification and access.
