Oversees physical and virtual maker technology, such as 3D printers and scanners, laser cutters, CNC routers, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and both augmented and virtual reality
Acts as a liaison with Research and Learning librarians (at Main and UA Health Sciences Library) and library IT to support the learning and teaching mission of the University
Provides excellent service, which develops and fosters learning communities, including supporting peer-to-peer learning opportunities
Builds and maintains excellent relations with faculty, students and the broader campus community
Ensures safety of library users, employees, and security of library materials through application of library and University policies and procedures
Triages consultation requests
Technology and equipment support
Trains staff and student workers in Makerspace and VR studio
Hands-on assistance during faculty-led classes
Oversight of VR and Makerspace technology
Emerging technology planning and coordination
Maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, and purchasing for tools and technologies
Purchasing and budget management for tech planning and coordination
Training and certification
Oversight of curriculum and materials development
Coordinates and schedules digital exhibitions
Creates assessment tools, and collects and analyzes data related to the use of technologies and needs of the users

Bachelor’s degree AND 2 or more years related experience in a technology-rich environment; OR any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education
Experience with training and user support
Familiarity with or interest in multiple Makerspace and VR tools and equipment, with special attention to the safe deployment and use of technology
Experience in budget management, including financial planning and projecting, monitoring expenditures, and developing budgetary solutions
