Pima Community College Library seeks an enthusiastic and student focused librarian for a six-month provisional position with 110 days of accountability between July 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. The position, Educational Support Faculty- Librarian, includes responsibilities for teaching information literacy, providing reference service, engaging in collection development and supporting student success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Information Literacy and Reference Duties
Design and provide contextualized information literacy instruction that supports self-directed, self-sufficient learning in a variety of settings and in a variety of instructional modalities
Assist students, faculty, staff and administrators in accessing reliable, accurate information, providing reference consultations, demonstrations and workshops.
Produce research guides, tutorials, class materials and other resources to promote and support the use of library materials and services
Engage in outreach to instructional faculty
Collection Development Duties
Develop, assess and maintain the library collection as a resource for students, staff, faculty and administrators implementing the Library’s Collection Development Guidelines.
Participate in collection analysis for electronic resources

Minimum qualifications requirements for faculty positions are governed by our faculty qualification standards. This position is in an Academic discipline and requires the following to obtain Pima Community College teaching certification:
Master’s degree from a library and information studies program accredited by the American Library Association.
